From the program of the Tonder Festival 2007:
“ The lasting popularity of Neanders Jazz Band can only be explained by their drive, their energy, their obvious delight in playing jazz, and their entertaining stage performance. Neanders Jazz Band play tunes from the repertoire of the old jazz giants, Louis Armstrong, Kid Ory and Sydney Bechet, but in recent years they have added their own original arrangements of swing, lazz-rock and rytm´n´ blues tunes. A vast, loyal fan base built up over the years support Neanders Jazz Band, and again this year, trad. jazz lovers can hear there heroes as they play there way through Tonder perched atop the veteran fire engine, on the Square on Friday and Saturday, and at the Sunday´s  traditional street parade.”

The band is known for their great musical enthusiasm and energetic stage performance and they will always try to live up to their slogan:

   - because music shall be alive…
